James Rodríguez will be presenting his photo-book, Tierra de árboles Land of Trees, that documents 20 years of social conflicts, territorial resistance to extractive projects and postwar processes in Guatemala. The book brings together 171 photographs taken between 2005 and 2023, of which 45 black and white pictures accompany numerous quotations gathered in readings and collected in the field.
James Rodríguez (Mexico-US) is a Guatemala-based documentary photographer focusing on post-war processes, human rights abuses, migration, land tenure and social conflicts in Mexico and Central America.
